As a printmaker and illustrator from Grand Prairie, Texas, I embark on a creative journey that delves into inescapable moments of mystery and tragedy. My work illustrates the human experience and identifies the stark contrast between hope and dread.

My fascination with these themes traces back to my childhood, where mystery novels and Southern Gothic short stories inspired me. Notably the tenacity of characters like Nancy Drew. Her strength, intelligence, and tenacity spurred me to create art that explores the moments leading to disaster and the contrasting moments filled with hope.

Mystery and tragedy have an undeniable allure, drawing us in with their intricate narratives and profound emotional depth. I am driven to explore these themes through the medium of printmaking. The physicality of carving or etching and the alchemical transformation process mirror the dance of hope and dread.
